The main problems with outdoor LED displays are as follows:
(1) LED displays are installed outdoors, frequently exposed to sun, rain, wind, and dust, resulting in a harsh working environment. Wetting or severe dampness can cause short circuits or even fires, leading to malfunctions or even fires and losses;
(2) Displays may be subject to strong electric and magnetic strikes caused by lightning;
(3) Ambient temperature varies greatly. Displays generate heat during operation; if the ambient temperature is too high and heat dissipation is poor, integrated circuits may malfunction or even burn out, preventing the display system from functioning properly;
(4) They have a wide audience, requiring long viewing distances and wide viewing angles; ambient light varies greatly, especially with the possibility of direct sunlight.
To address these specific requirements, outdoor LED displays must:
(1) Ensure the screen body and its junction with the building are strictly waterproof and leak-proof; the screen body must have good drainage measures to ensure smooth drainage in case of water accumulation;
(2) Install lightning protection devices on the display and the building. (2) Ensure the main body and casing of the display screen are properly grounded with a grounding resistance of less than 3 ohms to allow for timely discharge of large currents caused by lightning;
(3) Install ventilation equipment to cool the screen, keeping the internal temperature between -10℃ and 40℃. An axial flow fan is installed above and behind the screen to expel heat;
(4) Use industrial-grade integrated circuit chips with an operating temperature between -40℃ and 80℃ to prevent the display screen from failing to start due to excessively low winter temperatures;
(5) To ensure long-distance visibility under strong ambient light, ultra-high brightness LEDs must be used;
(6) Use a new type of wide-viewing-angle tube for the display medium, offering a wide viewing angle, pure and consistent colors, and a lifespan exceeding 100,000 hours. The outer packaging of the display medium is a popular square cylindrical body with a shielding edge, sealed with silicone, and without metallized assembly; it is exquisitely beautiful, sturdy, and durable, with five protections: protection against direct sunlight, dust, water, high temperatures, and short circuits.
